I have a friend who has had high lights for as long as I can remember (base dark blonde). I've just seen her tonight and she has put 2 box dye's on he hair and she is now a dark brown and it looks terrible. She is now wanting me to sort it lol surprise surprise lol. I am going to strip the colour after testing her hair and put a a dark blonde all over with a few colour graphic high lights under the parting. Is there anything you would do dif? She wants a natural look but loved her high lights but not the up keep of them and fancied something bit dif but the colour really washes her out. Pale skinned and blue eyes.

thanks xx

It's gonna have a ginger tone hunny..not to mention dry it out.. Just to give her hair a rest.. And to stay off the scalp as she's already put 2 colours on.. Maybe just put the hightlights thru it.. Lots of fine ones.. If it goes gingery u can apply a toner .. I'd just be wary applying a stripper when she's already over done the colouring.. I think the best thing to do would be just to break the box colour up and lighten it a few shades..Then in a months time re assess it? Good luck! ;)

what about doing ombre on her then?

It depends on how dark the colour is that she's applied? If its not too dark and it's going to look subtle then she's still getting the natural look that she's after.. But if it's very dark it might look a bit harsh.. And not forgetting her natural hair is quite light.. How will the roots look when they come through?

Hi Hun
I would use blondie rae or affinage eraser- absolutely no damage to the hair and results are amazing!! A colour close to her natural base, with some highlights under the parting would be a good way of having the highlighted effect, without the noticeable regrowth. Take some before and after piccies xxx

Yes defo colour remove get most of it out then foils with graphics, I'd do maybe two different tones, and flood with a nice dark blonde, 8mm to dark? Depending how the colour remover goes, that would look nice :)
