Hello! I'm a doctor working in London and have a private clinic at a medi spa at the weekends. The place where I am working hasn't been great with advertising it and hence I haven't been getting as many clients as I would like so am looking into expanding to other places. I'm not sure how to go about this. I have called a few salons I liked the look if but they already seem to have their own doctors. Would you guys have any idea how I go about doing this or do you know anyone interested? I work full time as a GP so don't have much time to call lots and lots of places.

Why don't you focus on advertising in your current place? It's not normally the salons job to advertise your services. It's a base for you to advertise yourself.

Well that's why I'm giving them a significant cut so they can bring me the clients. Otherwise it's cheaper for me to hire a clinic room but I wouldn't have the client base. It's a bit tricky advertising botox because it's prescription only. I'm working on a website which should help but it's going to take a bit of time.

I understand what you're saying. Even though it's a prescription service I still think it's the same as advertising any other service to be honest. We actually make websites and if you do it right that will make a big difference I should think.

What part of London do you offer your services?

I'm based in south west London and the salon where I work is in Wimbledon. I'm sure there is demand, it's just the lack of advertising.

I'm fully trained in injectables however I do not have my prescription course. I would love to work with a doctor so that they could get the product and then I could administer.

I'm afraid I don't think that would be worth most doctors' time especially with the grey area around seeing patients before prescribing it and the possibility of running into complications. At the end of the day the doctor prescribing is just as liable if something goes wrong. We have to get the appropriate medical indemnity and it's quite expensive. I would do the prescribing course if I were you.
