Whether youve been a bride or not, we can all understand that theres no doubt gorgeous hair is a must-have for your big day but what if your budget isnt that big? More often than not, its pretty pricey to get a hairdresser to your venue for the big day, so whats the alternative?
Brooks & Brooks in London are launching the Bridal Get a Grip service in March to help all those blushing brides out with this exact problem. The process involved international hair stylist, Valerie Benavides talking the bride-to-be through hairstyles that would complement the dress, as well as suggesting suitable hair accessories. The bride will then be taught how to prep, style and finish the look herself and will be given a how-to guide after her appointment.
In theory, this is not a terrible idea but having recently walked the aisle myself, the last thing I needed on the morning was a step by step guide to doing my own hair, especially when you know its never going to look as good! We all know what its like (unless youre a hair stylist of course!) to sit and watch your hairdresser do a beautiful job on your hair, she may have even talked you through how to do it and Im certain shell have sold you a number of excellent products to help you out, but the simple fact is, its never quite the same. For the price of the service, I think Id rather spend a little bit more and get someone who knows exactly what theyre doing to sort my wedding barnet out while I sip on a glass of champers right?
Let us know what you think. What bridal packages do you offer? Are you offering a similar do-it-yourself support service? If not, would you consider it?
Until then geek on!
