Bubbles in gel polish on top of acrylic

Hi Geeks!

I recently did a set of acrylic nails on myself with a gel polish over the top. The next day I had bubbles under the surface of the Polish on a few nails. I assumed I had not cured them enough so simply took the polish on these nails off and polished them again but the same thing happened again.

Any ideas on why this happened and how I can stop it from happening again?

Is it definitely air bubbles in the polish? If so are you shaking it?
Usually I find it’s fluff from wipes etc. A buff with a buffing block or sponge buffer before top coating should smooth it out

Are you’re coats maybe a little too thick?

Make sure to apply each coat as even as possible so your coats are cured fully any thicker spots of gel will stay too tacky and remain wet under each coat give hands a good wash before stay away from oily product and make sure to prep nail correct to get that gorgeous shiney finish, what polish is it your using ? And are you applying base coat correctly xx
