Builder gel in a bottle?

I trialed builder in a bottle. It was easy tow work with. On the runner side. The major things that put me off is

1. Major heat spike - really painful. The gel bottle advised to kind of float your hand near the opening of the lamp to catch the light and then put your hand in. Anyway I tried it, caused painful spikes. I haven't time to be faffing around with putting hands in and out of the lamp.

2. Not a pro brand. Anyone can buy, pro or not and it won't be changing.
