Bio Sculpture and Calgel are one and the same, created by two people who eventually went their own separate ways.

Both offer soft gel and gel polish systems, although I believe that Bio Sculpture has a much larger range of colour options.

Products and training are fairly expensive, as you probably know, so that’s something you need to factor into your budget. Also, you cannot purchase products from either until you’ve completed training or conversion training with them.

I trained in Bio Sculpture many years ago, but with the introduction gel polish systems, as well as through personal choice, I gradually made the transition over to those instead. That said, there’s absolutely nothing wrong with Bio per say, but the costs are very high in comparison IMO.

Hope that helps.

What range do you use now? and are they as good on natural nails?

I use CND Shellac, which is perfect for natural nails.

As with all enhancement systems, so long as they are applied and removed correctly, there shouldn’t be any problems.

You might also consider the IKON.iQ Nails EVOLUTION soak-off overlay and sculpting gels, the HYPNOS soak-off colour gels (unique pigmentation chemistry, only one colour layer needed and super for nail art). Both are competitively price compared to other soak-offs.

Downside is we only have 25 HYPNOS colours right now as this is a new product series. But you can use with the PRIMA gel polish - also only needs one colour layer - and now we have over 100 colours there.

Plus - all products are HEMA-free and hypoallergenic.

Plus, plus :) - we are touring the UK over the next months with our "See and Try" event, where Iryna shows the optimum application procedure for each product and you have a chance to test for yourself. The event is free and you get an IKON.iQ Nails Professional certificate.

We also have an not time limited offer, that provides a free LED/UV lamp for gel or gel polish orders with a value of £180 ex-VAT. So this is an affordable way to convert to our products.

We will publish the next "See & Try" dates in our UK FB group:
