Hello,

Just after some advice please.
I currently use the Wella Koleston perfect tube colour with a 6% peroxide.
Would I be able to 'switch' to another brand of tube colour e.g Ion, rusk or Fay and if so, can I use it as I have been doing with the wella colour? :?:

I'm also thinking of changing my hair colour. I've been blonde forever and fancy a change. If I go to a salon for this, can I ask them to write down/let me know what colour/brand they've used and with what strength peroxide?

Thanks for reading!! :D

You shouldn't be using professional colours at all without being trained. And if a client asked me for the colour brand and peroxide used id refuse. I would give them the number to give to a new salon but no I wouldn't explain what to use or mix as they shouldn't do it at home. It's My reputation on the line.

Hi Tomme,

Thanks for your reply. Can you tell me if it's best to stick to the same hair colour brand as I know not all salons have the same stock. Do you know if the ingredients in one brand would react with another? Confused!!

I'm not going to recommend anything else than go to a salon every time, as you are not a professional you shouldnt be using this site. Maybe try yahoo questions
