if so , how do you go about it?

also, i wanted an extra gel brush to touch up smiles with scrubfresh but creative all sold out so i ordered a designer nails one-will this be ok to use?
are they ok brushes?

Hiya...Do you mean you brought a brush from Designer Nails....if so it will be Creative...i presume. As they are the distributors for Creative. I have used Brisa Finishing Gloss over nail art and it worked fine. I just allowed for the paint to dry and applied as normal.

the crystal touch oval brush (like in the prof kit) was out of stock so ordered a designer nails 'own brand' one for £3.95

have you used the gloss over enamel?
was it efective?

yep tried it over polish and it does not work. i bought the UV top coat from ceser's secrets and found it worked a treat, no chipping what so ever. PM Naughtynails, she is the UK distributer.

has any1 else tried this? (brisa on nail art)

have a client wanting nail art on fingers and toes in morning for her holidays and i cant see it lasting under top coat alone

Hi there
I have used the Brisa UV Finishing Gloss over enamel & to seal art work.
Bullet Proof!!!
I have the client dry her nails[polish] in the UV lamp[2mins] before I apply
the Finishing Gloss.

Brisa finishing gel on nail art if it is acrylic paint based is fab....
Enamel would have to be bone dry a good few hours and then slightly buffed with a 240 grit, so the gel can grip to the enamel successfully.....So it can be done but you would have to do it the next day...

Enamels cure different to Gels...Enamel is solvent based, polymer based, contains platicizers and pigments and cures via air and evaporation, so after the polish is applied the solvents slowly evaporate and leave a glossy coating.

Gels cure via UV light, the little molecules get ever so exited and polymerization is complete when the recommended curing time is achieved.. end of the polymerization chain.......So by applying Gel over an enamel before it has fully dryed you are actually stopping the evaporation process.... hence a sticky mess and lack of success......

I have used Brisa finishing gloss over polish on myself & it worked fine. I just applied it the following day. It isn't very strong but it protects the polish against polish remover, acetone, etc. I always use Super Shiney on clients, I don't think you can beat it!

Thats cool babe and I have done the same for myself, but in a Salon setting how many clients would come back for that and pay the extra????
Might be worth thinking about though !!!!!
But Speedy and Speed Spray do it for me and oh yes Super Shiney what a shine xxxx

Sorry, that's what I meant, I don't offer it to clients as I don't know how long it would last. I only use it for myself to protect against polish remover. My polish tends to only last a couple of days anyway, it just reduces fading at the tips. Super Shiney & Solar Speed Spray for my clients. Mega shiney & the spray smells fab (plus leads me to discuss the benefit of the entire Solar range while they are trapped there waiting to dry!).
