I've just tested out my Dream soak-off gel before a client tomorrow. Went on like a dream (excuse the pun), but I messed one nail up a bit so I'm trying to soak it off. The problem is, it doesn't seem to be working!
I am used to using IBD, which you can file very thin and then soak the rest - when I do this usually the remains of the gel sort of go brittle and flake off rather than how l&p usually goes gooey and dissolves.
The Dream is doing the same thing. My mum has had her nail wrapped up for 25 minutes and a little bit has chipped off but no gooeyness yet at all.
I've now got her with her finger in an egg cup of product remover to see if that makes a difference. Am I just mistaken in thinking that the gel should soak off in the same way as the l&p, is it OK that it's acting the same as IBD, or have I done something wrong??
