Hi geeks! Can anyone help me with this one I'm working on a base 7 very flat. Virgin hair so was going to use gloss as a root application in 6/7 then freehand melt into bleach and 3% as I only need a few shades brighter then possibly 8/38 in wella as a toner. Thanks in advance.

Sounds perfect, were you looking for any advice or suggestions? Or just a second opinion on your formulas? Just be careful with choosing 3% to freehand with, as you're probably aware, bleach doesn't process quite as well open air vs being enclosed. If you're using clay bleach of course you'll get a better lift freehand.

Hi ronray, it was advice on different formulas and it's the technique tbh that I'm unsure how to achieve this seamlessly tbh, I'm planning on root retouch and feathering it down slightly but was unsure whether to blend them both in freehand. What would you do? Thanks for replying.

I would do foilayage for this, do a scattering of weaved highlights, then balaybe all the mid lengths and ends inbetween. Let it process, rinse then use colour touch 6/7 and 1.9% on the root and drag down creating highs and lows. Then apply the 8/38 to the mid lengths and ends and blend in to the root colour.
