I'm trying to seek some advice on hairdressing.
I'm 28 and currently work full time as adminsitrator, i would love to get into hairdressing and am currently looking into enrolling in a part time evening course at East Berkshire college (hairdressing nvq 2)
I have managed to get a volunteering placement at my local salon to help me gain experience whilst i train, but this will only be one saturday a week. The evening course is for two evenings a week (5.30pm-9.30pm)for a year.
I'm not looking at giving up my administrator job, I was just looking at earning some extra cash in my spare time/gain a trade/possible change of career.
I was just wondering if the part time course and 1 day a week in a salon will be enough for me to gain experience/tips etc ??
any advice would be gratefully received, just want to make sure i'm going about this the right way as the course starts on the 17th september.
