i done a lady this morning in Cnd Wildfire and I've seen her again this afternoon as our daughters attend the same school and she said "look what's happened it's chipped" i said to her about coming back and I can re do for her but she said ill see how I get on if anymore chips as red chips more than other colours and it does when she puts it on but obviously that's normal polish. Have I done something wrong? I only done two coats as told so wouldn't of thought it was the coats of shellac. I'm just feeling really bad right now like its my own fault.

If she has weak or damaged nails that could well be the problem. What were hers like?

Did you definitely cap them all and did you give the usual "what to avoid" type of advice?

Did you use all the CND shellac products and correct lamp?

Are any other clients chipping or just her?

:)

Her previous shellac had been on 5 weeks so I had removed that and done all correct prep with correct products and lamp as taught. She's in water a lot as she has a baby so she said she doesn't really look after them aswell. But I'm just upset as its only a few hours later. I have put three coats on some previous clients but obviously as your taught two I've gone back to doing that. I'm just overthinking panicking a little lol.

Has she had shellac last 5 weeks since having her hands in water a lot?
To have it happen that quickly makes me think it wasn't properly adhered to start with

Did it chip from the free edge?
Can you recall if her nails were weak?
Was the previous shellac actually the same as you are using or a different gel polish?

It was like in the middle of the nail if you get me lol like it had been caught it seemed like, Same shellac same products.. Well it had grown quite alot and was chipped at the sides so wasnt in perfect condition. Must just be me then :( I offered to redo

Do you mean there was a missing chunk in the middle of the nail?

Or it hand chipped at the middle of the free edge?

How was her previous shellac to remove.?

Just a tiny little chip in the middle of the free edge tbh it was a quick look and im struggling to remember exactly she's not overly keen on colour on herself so i think she's hoping for the rest to go now, Previous shellac was fine to remove. Like i say previous it must've of been a mistake on my part.. not sure if anyone else does but i do worry about the slighest things with regards to doing nails!

Just re-do the chipped nail as soon as you can get her booked in.
Keep the goodwill!

Is it possible your over capping the nails leaving a ridge across the free edge, this will cause chipping and peeling :)

Of course it's also quite possible that she's knocked it......did you ask her how it happened?
