CIDESCO 600 hours?

Hey guys, sorry if this has already been asked, I just have a few questions about the hours required to complete the CIDESCO diplomas. I completed the exams in 2012 and did have about a year on and off working in salon but never logged any hours with CIDESCO! I'm looking at either renting a room in salon or styarting up my own small business, would hours logged in this environment be valid to go towards my certificate??? If so, how do I log these with CIDESCO? Thanks in advance!

Hey Kelly! I also did CIDESCO. I'm pretty sure your salon work will count, can you get a letter from your previous employee confirming how often you worked and between what dates? Eg, 8 hour shifts 2 x per week or whatever.

In terms of the rental space, I'm sure that would count but to prove it stumps me too! Are you able to contact your beauty school as I'm sure they will know the answer.

CIDESCO was so hard but I was so glad I did it! I've been out of beauty now for 3 years but I'm going back to it and would love to become a trainer as it really is the most fun career for me!

Thanks so much for your reply Kim, I think I'm finding the idea of going back into the industry after all this time a bit daunting, but like you, I can't wait to get stuck in!!
