clear tip and gelebond

kan anyone tell me why it is not good to use CND gelebond with CND clear tips. thanks

This is something that seemed to go around some while ago and it is totally untrue.

It is perfectly fine to use GelBOnd (the pink gel bond looks the nicest in my opinion) with clear tips. No Problem.

Hey me too, wondering why this would be a problem.
I havent tried the Pink Gel bond as I wasnt sure how strong the colour would be - anyone use it?

The colour is subtle and beautiful as you would expect, and takes away from that 'grey' look that you get with clear adhesive. I never use anything else.

It is OK to use with any and all Creative tips .. or any other persons tips for that matter.

glad to here it, been using it all long with no problem. but fund a old boks of tips today and there was a note in the boks . that said not to use gelebond with clear tips.. i dont know where it came from???? thanks for your help

Ha ha ... believe it or not ... it was my invention and Creative gave me a trophy for doing it!! A plaque with a citation and a tube of pink Gelbond on it!! So funny. There is a story to tell as to how it all happened! Of course.

I do remember that, pipper (man it must be an old box of tips) anyway whatever they thought the problem was, it was sorted out a long time ago!!

this might be going around because printed quite clearly on the lid on the inside of my clear tips (both formation and velocity) it says: IMPORTANT: For best results use Speedbond to apply ClearTips. Do not use Gelbond.

My students point this out every stinking time I do a demonstration with clear tips and ask me why I'm not following the manufacturer's directions since I'm such a stickler about that. Not sure why, they seem to be just fine with gel bond.

Me too ... to tell you the truth I haven't even tried any other adheasives ... my motto is 'if it works - don't fix it' ... so a bit reluctant to part with my gelbond for all tip application
