Will do! Looking forward to it. This is a completely new line of work for me and totslly different from my previous career!

You'll love it! Beauty is all I've done since I left school and it's a brilliant industry. I can't wait to get back into it now my littles are a bit bigger. :) have a fab day! Xxx

First day was great, training was fab, great friendly environment, lots of info, trainer very thorough and clearly loves what she does
Re dress code, people just wore skirt/dress/trousers, smart top, that sort of thing. Nobody in salon uniform x

Ah I'm glad you had a great first day! It's making me so excited for mine! And thank you for the inside info! [emoji6]
Hope you have a great day today! Xxx

All done, completed and passed! I enjoyed it soooo much.
Ok, the test.... our instructor generated 3 tests so we could retake if needed to. I managed to pass it first time. Make sure you know about contraindications, number of bones in hands etc, product knowledge etc. A lot of what you learn on Monday will come up in the test. It's not tricky though x

Yayy! Congratulations!
Ah, I was planning on re-reading my text book over the weekend, do you think that would help? And then obviously we'll be taught it all on Monday anyway.
Thanks so much! And congratulations again! Xxx

Definitely. Be picky about the sections you read though, you don't need it all

Oh really? I'll concentrate on A&P and product knowledge then! Xxx

im in the same boat as you rakkausbeauty. My little people have just started in reception and I'm hoping to dive back into beauty now after having not concentrated on it for a couple of years. I'm just waiting for sweet squared to come back to me on dates for the conversion course in my area and then I can get started fully again with CND.

Hope you enjoy It ! I can wait to get started! Congratulations on passing strudelpie! x

Ah that's great HelloLovely! It's so nice to hear people are in the same boat as me! I have been completely out of the industry for a good 4.5 (nearly 5) years now so I went for the beginners course to refresh my mani/pedi skills too! Where are you based?
I'm so excited to be heading back into the industry! I hope you have lots of luck with getting started xxxx

I'm in a teeny little part of Essex ! lol. I'm exactly the same virtually ! I did my NVQ level 2 beauty when leaving school then went back to beauty after my boys were born in 2012 - thought I could manage the lot and it would all turn out fabulously but stopped again because it was quite literally impossible ! Which takes us to here and my trying to get back into it again !

I redid my nails a couple of years ago but really want to get into the CND line of things . Id love to be able to offer it knowing that Ive got all the knowledge I need. Even though I feel like ive forgotten most of it sometimes ! x

That's exactly like me!!
I don't know Essex at all, but if you're anywhere near billericay then the S2 educator there is a lady called Kayleigh.
I don't know her personally but I follow her on Instagram and her work is amazing!!!!! Her insta handle is @naileykayley I think. Something like that.
Xx

Thankyou ! Yes I'm just down the road from Billericay! I had been in contact with her before but couldn't do it at the time with triplets but I'm hoping I have more luck this time ! :D

will go and add her on Instagram ! xx

Triplets!!!! Oh my Lord, you're a queen!!!!! [emoji73][emoji73][emoji73][emoji73][emoji73]

:D Thanks Lovey, I'm trying my best ! I wouldn't quite say I'm a queen ! lol.

I felt like a sodding Jester trying to get this juggling malarkey right ! x

I have two, two years apart and I find it hell some days, in my eyes you are definitely a queen! Xxx

Thanks! I have tried to ask S2 before but the lady I spoke to just told me I couldn't purchase any CND branded stuff until I had done the course. Didn't really answer my question!
I think I'll get in touch with my educator and see what she says.
Thank you!
Xx

You have to provide proof that you are a business or that you have at least a manicure certificate to sign up to Sweet Squared. They expect you to buy a kit from them before you can go on a course, so I do not understand why she said you can't buy any of their products. You need a full kit to take with you. I was offered two kits I chose the £279.95 as I saved £150.

Oh my kit was provided on the day of my course, I think it was included in the cost. I just wanted to know if there was anything that I ought to purchase that wasn't in the kit. But I've sorted everything now.
Thank you! Xxx
