Hi

I am new to this, having recently completed a gel polish course, and I have a CND Shellac kit and am using a Cuccio Led Lamp. The Shellac is simply not curing properly parts of the shellac whip off! I am preparing the nail correctly so dont understand. Could it be the lamp does not work with CND. Does any one else use a CND with a different LED Lamp?

Thanks any advice and help would be great.

You need to use a CND lamp with all CND products. The same goes for any brand.

In a nutshell shellac needs a very specific wavelength and intensity of UVA light to ensure a full and proper cure. Even if when used under other lamps it looks cured it may not be fully cured. This will lead to service breakdown but also an increased chance of adverse skin reactions , this is how people generally become allergic to gel products.

Invest in the CND lamp and I'm sure this will solve your problem ;)

Thanks for your reply - does it matter if its a uva or led, is one better than the other

The CND UV lamp, and the CND LED lamp both use UV light to cure the product , I personally much prefer the LED lamp as it works quicker and you never have to replace the bulbs! :) The choice is yours though either will do the job perfectly :)

Hi thanks for your help. Where is the best place to buy these lamps from as I notice there are some on ebay and amazon or should I stick to suppliers like Ellisons and Sweetsquared.?

Thx

Always buy from an Authorised Distributor - so Sweet Squared or Ellisons as you mention. [emoji171]

Always buy your products from an authorised distributor like sweet squared / ellisons. It is the only way to guarantee you are getting a genuine product, also if something were to go wrong with your machine you will have a warranty and will be able to get a replacement , you don't have that level of protection off eBay etc.

Your lamp is vital to the nail service, don't take the chance always buy from authorised distributors ;)

Im buying the Brisa hard gel system to create extensions because I will not offer acrylic l&p (bye vapors). I also want to buy the Vetro no 19 pods for the color options. Will Vetro SOFT GEL no19 pods cure in the new Cnd led lamp? Thanks!
