I am having discomfort after doing shellac polish, I use all CND products which I purchased from Sweet Squared. I have a burning sensation under my nail plate and extreme itching around my nail plate (side walls cuticles finger tips} I use solar oil regularly. I have completed an ITEC level 2 course and a gel extension course, I have been trying out different brands on myself and family to decide what products I will use when I start a business. I have found this lamp cures better than the last lamp I used (I had trouble with lifting but not this burning itching) I am concerned about this reaction. Does anyone have this problem?.

That's an allergic reaction, probably caused by previously under-cured product. The lamp itself isn't causing the itching and burning.
You should have been using the proper lamp from the start.

Hi thankyou for your reply, I havn't used my other lamp for over a year now. I stopped doing my nails for six months, as this happened the first time I used the CND Lamp and products. I had been wearing gloves when doing others nails, This is still very itchy and there are some cracks on my finger tips which are painful, it's three days since I did my nails, does anyone have any suggestions what I can use to ease the discomfort?

You need to see a doctor. Could be allergies/dermatitis. Once you're allergic, you'll probably always be allergic.
I can't recommend products as I am in Canada and products are different here.
If you have developed an allergy it would be from over-exposure to products and/or undercuring previously.

Hi thanks for your reply, this makes me very nervous of starting a business in nails, I was a hairdresser for 25 years, I thought this would be an easier career,(not having to stand for long periods of time). Or I could do a bit of both, not that keen now!!!

Go see your GP as I'm going through a similar situation just now and I've been referred for tests

Hi we don't have Universal healthcare in Ireland it's at least 60 euro to see a GP, I'll ask in the pharmacy later on today, The itching has eased, I'll go if cracks havn't healed in another few days. Thanks
