I was wondering if anyone could give me some advice on the above?
I’ve been moving towards using colorissimo as the few colours I’ve tried on regular clients have been really good and it’s an affordable range for my clients.
I’ve got a potentially new client next week, subject to skin test, and she currently a ‘dyed brown’ looking at her pictures around a 5, I will consult with her properly this weekend to get a better idea of the current colour, and find out what’s underneath it!
She’s wanting to go a mahogany colour, and I’m thinking about using the 5M/5.5 and possibly adding the red intensifier?! Or would I be better off using 5RR/5.66 or 5VR/5.62!
I’m not confident with reds even after 20 years and cringe whenever I’m asked to do them! [emoji85][emoji85]

I’ve attached a pic of what she’s wanting to achieve.
Thanks in advance!

5.5 is a good choice. 5.66 is so Intense, probably too red for what you want to achieve. But don't forget to get the true reflection of tone the starting base generally need to be a shade lighter, before you apply the desired shade. You could add some intensifier but I've never needed to. The reds in this range are very good. I particularly like the 6.66 it's so vibrant and its the perfect red shade, not copper in any way, and not violet. I used it to recreate Sharon Osbourne colour on my mum and it was spot on! It lasted really well too.
For future refernec the HLVR is good too! But does have more of a pinky red tone especially if used on lighter bases.

Thanks for getting back to me I really appreciate it! I thought the hlvr might be quite pinky looking at the shade chart.
Once I’ve seen her ‘in the flesh’ I’ll have a better idea of what I’m dealing with! Thanks again [emoji1303]
