Hi guys, is it true that with wella12/89 you are not supposed to use heat now?

Iv never used heat with high lifts, be it any brand, I tend to treat it more like bleach xoxo

I find with heat and highlift you loose the toning capabilities, and it becomes more aggressive x

Thanx guys. X

No heat! Unless the manufacturer states it's okay to do so! They test these products extensively and would put on the instructions if it were ok or not.

Hi there - just found this thread. Its quite interesting because I have been asking my hairdresser for lightest ash blonde highlights but they keep coming out yellow / gold. I have dark blonde ashy coloured hair naturally with gold tones (apparently). She used a Wella highlift tint (not sure which type or developer?) in lightest ash blonde the first time which came out gingery in places - and then the next colour (very slightly darker) along the chart the next time but it still came out yellowy and not ash toned - she left it on a little longer this time. She sticks me under the Climazone to develop once the colour is in. Is this the reason the ash tones aren't taking? I'd like to know what to ask for when I next go in and any help is appreciated. I also posted this question in the consumer forum but this post seems quite relevant to my question. Thanks!!
