If I use a colour reducer on colour 33/66 to lighten it what sort of results can I achieve? (not done colour correction for years)

Was the hair previously tinted /highlighted etc.... Or is it just one application of 33/66?

Hello, the hair was previously coloured with Wella 5/75 and base as she has white roots.

I would expect it to reveal something similar to a 6/34 shade.

It’s not really a lightener but it does expose the undertones when removing the old colour.
Taking into account that the colour product will have lifted the natural even when depositing a darker colour, you’d be left with a raw natural about a level or so lighter than the original, exposing the undertone.
So if the natural Level was a 5, then you be left with a 6 that looks quite orange.

You said white roots so is your client 100% white naturally?
If she wants to be a light brown/dark blonde colour then you’ll need to remove most of the artificial colour because it that colour contains some red which you don’t want in a 7. So think about adjusting your tint formula to account for that.

This thread gives more detail.
