Hi all,
I had my hair dyed at a salon yesterday and it's a complete disaster.
The salon I go to has switched from redken to affinage.
My hair was previously highlighted light blonde (had an inch of regrowth I believe the hair dresser said a base 6) and normally a toner is applied due to my hair having a red hue and my habit of turning colours orange:(.
I asked for a medium ash blonde tint with bleached slices through my hair I took a photo in with colours I wanted. I've been left with a dark golden/redish colour throughout my hair with blonde slices it's looks awful, the hair dresser said I must have a golden tone in my hair as the colour she put on would not normally do that :(
The hair dresser has offered to fix it by putting a dark colour through the top of my hair however I don't want to go any darker do u have any suggestions regarding how this can be fixed.

I would go back and let them 'fix' it, but insist that you do not want to go darker. Did the stylist offer to correct it that day or did she run out of time? Could you speak to a senior member of the staff to ensure you get what you asked for the first time?

Hi soozgribb, thank you for replying.
She offered to fix my hair next week as she didn't have time yesterday to fix it - she told me to buy a toner but I'm not sure what to buy? (The hairdresser was a senior hair dresser) she told me it was my hue that made my hair turn the colour orange, will have a problem with all affinage colours?
i'm so disappointed was so excited for my new hair :'(

You shouldn't be told to buy your own toner. Can you upload a pic please we can offer better temp advice then to tide you over till your next appointment

Go to another hairdresser that uses another brand. If she's saying all her colours will do this then there's no pout returning ( I'm not sure if this is true but it's a reason not to have her recolour it)

Hi, I have attached some pictures of my current colour - it's a lot more orange in person

A toner will not do anything except change the highlights.

You need the whole lot re doing by a pro hairdressers -the base colour needs to be darker and cooler and there needs to be less blonde and that needs to be cooler too.
