Colour help!

Hi,

im not a hairdresser and my knowledge of hair isnt too great but came on here as was hoping for a bit of advice
My hair was blonde And my hairdresser was using a few bleach foils through and a toner of 10/01 wella and something else. Not sure. Anyways my roots were getting crazy and she said she didn't want to bleach my roots so I decided to do it myself.
I have done and the roots have turned orange and so I bleached again. They turned bright yellow. I then put 12/81 kp on as a toner and the picture is how it's turned out. Purple bits everwher!! What should I do now to get an even blonde. With no purple!! X

Hi I'm not a hairdresser either but I don't think you will get advice from the pro hairdressers on here I'm afraid as you are not a professional....my advice sorry to sound blunt but there is obviously a reason why your hairdresser refused to bleach your hair so maybe you should have listened to her advice....I wouldn't recommend you do anymore to your hair I would say go to a hairdresser and hopefully they can sort it out for you ....x

This is a fine example of how you mess up your own hair when you decide to do it yourself without the knowledge needed.

Find a reputable salon that houses a colour technician.

Your hair has gone porous that's why your hair has "grabbed" the violet in the toner. Your hairdresser didn't want to bleach your roots cos your hairs already damaged and it will break. You need to go to a salon to get that sorted.

If they're roots, then that means they are your natural colour so I'm confused as to why she wouldn't want to bleach them...

I think you need to go back to your hairdresser and ask her to sort out the mess for you. Might cost you a lot more than if you'd let her do them in the first place though.
