Hi I have a lady with short curly hair with previous highlights on top.
It’s like a base 7 naturally with a level 5 through the bottom.
She wants more definition through the darker colour and highlights.id like to give her slices of blonde and a darker colour in between for separation as it all looks really blended ( more like a 7 and 8 on top with bits of 10.
My question is am I better prepigging with gold mouse first as as she likes the darker colour more ash and not golden?
Any advice is great!

Have two options here.
You could prepig but for most brands only neccisary if you're dropping more than 2 levels. Use a natural or natural cool tone.

Or you could skip the pretone, and use a natural or natural warm tone depending on the result you want.
Curly hair is more porous typically, so bear that in mind. Consider using a demi permanent colour over a permanent colour.
