Have been doing competition hair for a little while now but since i started i have been looking to do a certain technique! I have tried googling it but cant seem to find the name of the technique anywhere! I know its hair pieces and i have made some in the past but wanted to make more elaborate ones but dont know where to start looking for tutorials etc! I call it hair fans but im really not sure what else i can google to find out about it! Heres a few examples*Hair Wars there are quite a few pieces in there that look like fans those are the ones i mean i dont want to do something that complicated but just a few simple fans will do i made one for competition last weekend but it came out too perfect and didnt look like hair!

wow i cant offer any advice but they are amazing :green: i lurve stuff like this but wouldnt have the foggiest where to start ,
how did you learn to make hairpieces ? was it just trial and error type thing ? am intrigued now i think it would be really interesting to learn xx

Just started playing with old hair extensions looping them and hairspraying them they came out well but too neat! Lol just make sure u chip into them lots after the hairspray dries! Just wanna learn how to make more advanced ones that dont just look like fans but has less shape and more movement

Th discipline is commonly called Postiche. You can make switches out of wefts sewn at the base to form a partial hairpiece. This then attaches to the head with clips.
I made some as part of my C&G wigmaking.
