So who's tried this to achieve thicker hair? And do u think it's worked?? ❤️

My daughter does it since her hair is V V thick and coarse frizzy curly it helps keep it smoother and easier to brush. Conditioner, shampoo, conditioner. It will not make hair thicker - it can't! If your hair is fine or limp I woul advise not to do it!

I meant really to give the illusion of being fuller. But ok great thanks for your reply 👍 xx

It's just washing out some of the smoothening benefits of the conditioner (smooth, soft hair is flatter). I think if it works then I probably means the conditioner you are using is too heavy for your hair, or you are putting conditioner too close to the roots.

I read about this somewhere...condition first then shampoo, I meant to try it on my hair but forgot until I saw this.

I did actually try this a few days ago and have been doing so since (apart from the weekend where I don't wash my hair as I wash it every weekday.) I read of a website that the theory is that the conditioner is absorbed but any excess is washed off by the shampoo meaning you get the benefits without the weighing down affects...I think for me it's too soon to tell the difference but it does feel a lot smoother as I feel I have to use loads of water in a bid to get the conditioner off!

Shampoo is acidic and lowers the ph of your hair that's why it's horrible & knotty if you don't condition afterwards, the cuticles are all raised from the acidic shampoo, then we apply conditioner which is alkaline which restores the hair to it's natural ph & closes the cuticle, resulting in knot free shiny hair, It doesn't make you have thicker or thinner hair, the hair is probably just bushier after shampoo because the cuticles are still raised.

You can use the same concept with an oil. Do a pre shampoo treatment with an oil, then shampoo and condition.

If your condition is too heavy use less or buy a lighter one :)
