I've recently got a LOT more interested in doing my makeup. The first foundation I bought several months ago was boots stay perfect in calico (matched instore). I then had benefit give me a sample I haven't used yet in hello flawless oxygen wow in honey.
I decided to do a 90 minute lesson with mac and was told in face & body I'm N2. I loved the colour but the product just seems to sit greasy on my skin all day (altho I have dryish skin).
So I was then given samples of mac mineralise moisture nw22 n studio fix fluid nw20.
Then last week boots re - matched me to cool ivory in stay perfect!
Wth, am I fair/medium/warm/cool?
It's frying my brain :(

The really really annoying thing about skin tone and matching foundations 100% is that it is very unusual for most people to be the same colour all year round. Getting more sun through the summer or on holiday, getting paler through the winter months when we get less sun etc.

Chances are you are probably both of those shades, just at different times of the year or in different circumstances (after holiday for example). I is really annoying, I have to change mine through the year for the best match too :)

I am Calico in No.7, which is the palest I think they have. So Im NC15 in mac studio fix.

But as the other poster said different times of the year call for different foundation colour matches, thats why its good to have a selection of different colours to use for when you have a tan and then when its gone. You can also buy a dark colour and then buy a really light colour and mix them up to get the right shade yourself :)

Doesn't n ie nw20 mean neutral and warm skin tone? And at same time cool ivory from boots?
