Creative retail lines....???

Which one have you found to be the best, and how have you sold it..i.e promotion etc.

As some already may know i am about to rent in a hair salon and would really like to sell some retail, but not sure which product. funds are a little low at the minute trying to save for my masters so din't wasnt to buy a huge amount of different products.

Any suggestions?

Well as I work sporadically from home I doubt my input is much help...but just to start off the thread, for me its...
Solar Oil,
Girlfriends,
Scentsations.
In that order. I usually just talk up the benefits of Solar Oil and they always buy.
They see the shine I get with a Girlfriend... and they have to have one.
Scentsations... I let them choose a diff one to be massaged with each time to finish off the service, and they always develope a fave!

For me I found the whole solar range all sold well...I had a solar centre display, and sold a lot of solar oil(obviously) and solar butter....
I kept a solar manicure at the washand also as a tester and everyone who tried it bought it....I usually got them to try it at their 1st re balance, as they would be more likely to buy then and not when they had just paid for a full set of nails.....!!
I know the scentsations range is a good seller for other people but my clients never really bought that much, even though most commented on whatever handwash I would be using at the washand...... but all the solar products sold, another good one was the solar speed spray.....

Hope this helps, but I think you need to know your clients wants and needs at first and cater to them....then once they get used to the high quality of the products you can introduce more for them to try........

I work from home part time and am still small, so my space & budget for retail items is very limited but solar oil sells every time. I explain the benfits whilst using it, and say I've tried out various cuticle oils and found this to be the best by far (which is true!).

I don't think there is one of my clients yet that doesn't have a bottle!

ALL sizes of Solar Oil, usually the mini (pinkie) size with the first set and then the large or medium when they run out....Creative enamels....Stickey Base Coat....Super Shiney Top Coat....Scentsations, hand and body wash beside the sink as Izzidoll says, and especially if you're good at massage, the hand and body lotion always sells............we sell lots of retail but do have the space for it if you try a few really good sellers first hopefully you won't have all your profits sitting on your shelves, good luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A definate is solaroil, i sell them in 3 sizes. Also solar silk/solar butter, which i use in manicures and clients love once they have tried. I sell soar manicure and solar butter. I also retail enamels, creative and opi, which are quite good, if you cant afford a huge amount of enamels why not just buy the dolled up collection and the black night collection.
