I have a xmas family meal in Saturday and I want to curl my hair what size curling wand is best for shoulder length hair as I have a thin one but also have a thick style wand x

First of all, what sort of look are you trying to create?

Does it hold a curl well or will it need a lot of product applying? Not much point spending time making it look pretty if it's going to drop out within 30 minutes.

Definitely watch some YouTube videos for perfecting your technique and practise a few times beforehand.

With a wand, I'd start with small neat sections and wind down from the root. A large wand will create very loose waves compared to a thinner wand. However, it might be best to use a thinner wand and then loosely tease your hair with your fingers when you arrive at the venue.

Also, protect your hair from getting damp on your way there, otherwise any style will just drop straight out if it gets a whiff of moisture.

Thanks Hun I was looking to try and recreate this

or as close to it and my hair has a tendency to not keep body or curls well as I naturally have dead straight hair x

Ok, in that case,
1. don't wash your hair the same day,
2. Spray in some curl hold product and let it dry in before curling it. Leave it to cool completely.
3. don't touch it at all until you're at the venue, nip to the ladies and run your fingertips through it, lightly spritzing with hairspray. It should hold for a few hours.

If it's raining, consider wearing a woolly hat to protect the hair from getting damp. Moisture is the devils revenge on set hair. :)

Awesome thanks I am rubbish at curling my hair thanks again [emoji4] x
