You guys will get sick of me with all the questions I have and will have but prior to training with NSI had no idea about the gap you leave between the acrylic and the cuticle. I am finding this bit quite hard. I worried that clients would think I hadn't went far enough down! Can any of you ladies show me your work so I can see the cuticle area. Also any tips for the part of the application

When applying your third bead, use a smaller bead and angle your brush at a 45 degree angle, hold the finger so the acrylic runs away from the cuticle and keep the acrylic behind the bristles of the brush. If you type in acrylic cuticle application on YouTube there's a good couple of videos that will show you how to apply it.
I too was struggling with the cuticle area my gap was too big and looked silly especially once gel polish was applied but I have found this technique means you can get it nice and flush and looks so much better x

Look for a video by Greg Salo for Young Nails.....it is the best video out there showing how to apply product in zone 3, how to use your brush to blend it perfectly to the nail and how much gap to leave.

I have the same issue. And when I get closer to the side walls and cuticle, it's too close and I get white patches a couple of days later. It's infuriating.

Have a watch of this video, infact any of NailZoo's videos, on his channel. Sadly I don't think he's been around for a while, but he's an amazing nail tech from Australia who used to be on here reguarly. His product ratios, brush and product control are amazing, maybe he can give you some pointers.

Goodness Trin......Zoo used to make some interesting reading didn't he !

That he did! I miss him and Geeg and Sass and Ruth so much. We've lost such amazing people and I think this place is the worse for it. Geeg would never let standards slip :p
