I was really excited my GelColor Kit arrived today until I opened it. One broken bottle leaked all over the other colours. My contact is OOO so spoke to someone else and forwarded the pic.

Had a reply with apologies and to clean up the bottles and they will send a replacement for the broken bottle! Would anyone else be unhappy with that reply? First order and left with sticky grubby bottles.....most disappointing! DH was shocked with the response too as he said it isn't cheap.

They need to better package their goods, but I wouldn't find their response unreasonable. The bottles will clean up fine as its not cured until its been in a lamp, and they're replacing the broken on.

What were you hoping for?
 
I was expecting them to replace the box tbh, I'd rather return them than spend more time trying to clean them up. I've cleaned them up twice already, still a bit sticky and they don't look brand new. There is still pink inside the lid of two of the other colours. Just disappointed I guess.
 
I too would expect them to replace just the broken bottle.

Have you asked for the box the be replaced?
 
I have, so shall see what they say. On the phone they said they would replace it so I just presumed the box would get replaced. If it was discounted or on sale it would be ok, just bugging me I have bottles I've used a few times that look better than these do. I think I'm used to Amazon CS ;)
 
What's the re return policy? Do you have 14 days to return items anyway?
Hopefully they will replace the box for you
 
Thanks, I hope so too. I checked the returns policy and it says I can return damaged items and they will pay for postage. I got the starter kit and the other items are all fine, just can't use anything yet. The colours are gorgeous though, much nicer than they looked in the brochure.

I would be extremely miffed if I got that response too.
You have paid full price for something which has not arrived in good condition. through no fault of yours.
I realise it might be able to be cleaned but why should you have to deal with that and like you said it doesn't look all new and nice.
I would ask them if they would give you some kind of refund towards your trouble or at the very least a discount off your next purchase.

It's happened to me before and I only asked for the broken bottle to be replaced.
The others were easily cleaned and it also meant I didn't then have to repack and return to them and wait for replacements.
 
I had an email the next day, the polishes were collected and the new ones arrived following day so I was happy :)
