Am I correct in assuming that a stainless steel dappen dish is fine for monomer?

Cheers. xx

I would imagine so isnt that what Roxy was using when she did our nails hun?

Yeah, well I guess so Scatts but then I started thinking that maybe it was solid silver. You never know. xxxx

God don't say that they would cost a fortune lol.

I would imagine that silver would tarnish with monomer in it but stainless steele is a lot more ahrd wearing.

If its for storage I think you might have long term issues. For application only - there isnt going to be a problem though. In fact - theres something shiny in the dappen dish department coming soon ;)

hmph - actually you guys would already be aware of that though wouldnt you? :)

I thought a dappen dish was only for monomer?

I'm lost. Yeah, a dappen dish is used for monomer but you can also use it for powder. Is that what you mean hun?

I guess you could......I always use mine out of the pots they come in

You're talking to the woman who can't put sugar in her tea without spilling it ALL over the worktop - transferring powder...........makes me break out in a sweat just thinking about it

LOL.................You should use a dappen dish and then you can mix your powders to a shade that you like. Also looks neater. xx

I usually mix stuff up in a little screw top pot - I've been known to drop that too! :smack:

I dropped 600+ crystals the other day - I'm still finding them all over the house
