Hey everyone,
Just wanting some tips and advice for what you would all do. I have a client that comes in for a cut and blow but never has never had a colour done as always using a box colour. She has now decided that she wants her hair doing in the salon instead. At the moment she does have a lot of build up and red tones in her hair around base 5. She is wanting to be a lighter brown as she is very grey so doesn’t want it to stand out as much and wanting to be around base 7 instead. I am doing strand and skin test today but just want some advise as I have recently come back into hairdressing after having couple years off.

I would go in with a colour remover (after strand and skin testing), to remove as much of the bulk of artificial colour as possible.

Once I have done that which colour would you suggest? I currently use wella but don’t want it to look too warm.

If the colour remover gets the hair light enough always remember to use at least two shades lighter than you’re desired shade [emoji846]x

Well it depends on what you're left with after the colour remover. It might not lift out well, it might lift out very well. With colour correction you can't really plan past your first step
