Difference between volumes?

hello,
I was wondering what would happen if I used the same color but different volumes. For an example, virgin hair is about level 4 and I wanted to used 7.0. Everything kept the same just different volumes. Thank you

Well each developer has a different level of lift so you'd be wasting time and product using any other % than the one you need to reach your target
