Hi I am a creative trained technician (fairly newly) and have always used CND tips as I thought I had to, is it possible to use other tips or should you only use the tips of the company you were trained with? x

I think you'll find it hard to beat Creative tips but, if you wish, you can use any tip make. It is the systems which you should not mix, ie the liquid and powder.

Thanks chris this is pretty much what I thought but keep hearing things about rapture tips e.g

You can use whatever tips you like. If you want cheap and cheerful, Millennium do boxes at the shows for about £11 in different styles.

I've used them but you know how it is; you get what you pay for in life. They're great but you won't get the same look so be prepared to be disappointed. You know how Creative tips are lovely and thin and change the shape of your hands? Well, most cheap tips tend to be thicker and flatter. xxx

Ive tried n.s.i, and creative amongst others and personally thin creative are the best for me. I find them easier tho blend and they offer different types to suit the nailshape.

Its sometimes nice to compare other brands of products, just for experience really. Then perhaps you can compare Creatives with others then take your pick and stick to it!

I have tried a couple of different tips and am still searching for the perfect ones. I like Creative tips but find them quite expensive as money is tight right now. I know there are more expensive tips than CND on the market and that you get what you pay for. But, the strength is in the product not the tip and I wont compromise on the product so this is the only area I can make a saving whilst I am practising.

thanks for the help guys, but think i will stick to what i know best for now- CND tips. but i might wait till the london comps and buy some cheapys just so i can compare really. Jordinaildesign is a great site for bits and bats though! xxx
