Dipping powder vs coloured powder?

Okay so I’ve had a scan through and can’t find any answers.

Is dipping powder and coloured acrylic powder i.e design powders the same thing?

Design powders need basing/capping

Coloured core powders do not so I am wondering if dipping powders and design powders are literally the same product?

I’ve never used dipping powders so I can’t compare them myself

I am not familiar with using dipping powders for color, only from doing enhancements over tips (resin enhancements) and I noticed a big difference in the dipping powder compared to regular l&p powders. So I am guessing it will be the same for color dipping systems. They usually make their bases or resins that you dip with compatible to a specific grade of powder for clarity/stability/chemical matching.

But like I said I don’t know color dip systems well enough so hopefully a more experienced tech can answer you or the manufacturer.
