Hope you guys can help me - lately everytime I get my regrowth done (6) my highlights look darker and dull, I have to wait until I've actually washed my hair 3 for 4 times before my highlights look bright and shiny again. :(

I have used the same mobile hairdresser for a couple of years now and have always been extremely happy but this situation is getting me down (I've even spent the afternoon in the bath washing my hair over and over again before a big night out to get the colour right! :irked:)

I have mentioned it to her but she just doesn't appear to know either (which worries me!) - please help - should I buy special shampoo for her to wash my hair with, is the water too hot, too cold when she's washing my hair? It didn't used to happen and she appears to be using the same colours...please help as I don't want to upset her by asking about it again as she's so sweet.

You shouldn't worry about upsetting her, after all you are paying for a service and right now, you are not happy about it.

Does you hairdresser use tint or bleach for your highlights? It might be a case of her choosing different colours. Maybe you could go through a shade chart together and some pictures to show her what look you would like.

Using a silver shampoo on blonde hair will always revive it, but it is not a miracle worker if the colour is not right in the first place.
