Double ended acrylic brushes?

hi everyone, how do you all feel about double ended acrylic brushes? how do you store them? how do you clean them?

i just worry that because you obviously use monomer on both ends one end will br upside down and im worried it will ruin the brush

Exactly why they don't exist as far as I know. Do you have a link or supplier who sells them?

I never said you were, I've just never seen them and agree with your thinking about monomer travelling through the ferral, that's why I asked for a link to see them

I think Kirsty has only just released them, as in within the last couple of months. I saw she was doing a brush line but hadn't seen them. If Kirsty reckons they work, then they must

but thats why im thinking maybe you have to store them a different way possibly flat? but im not 100% sure

Brush storage has always foxed me, flat seems to feel right to me but it's tricky finding space without them rolling around. Bristles down is the best but not all come with lids. Bristles up always cause rusting in the ferral and the dreaded yellowing of product. No simple answer

yes exactly, i store mine in a jar and make sure i only get brushes with lids, but like you say if you store a double ended one up right then the monomer is going to down in the brush and cause the yucky yellow, saying that ive got a brush and recently its started to go yellow but i dont understand why as i always store it bristles down

Monomer can still travel up the brush, the glue starts to breakdown whuch csn cause yellowing. Really good quality brushes tend to be bound rather than glued so less likely to yellow

I store most of my brushes in metal pencil cases (as they are far cheaper and prettier than some specialised brush cases), these are really easy to then stack, or store in drawers or on my table and they don't roll around.
Some brushes, like the CND L&P brushes are longer though, and don't come with lids, I've grown to quite dislike them purely because I can't store them easily.

I'm sure a double ended brush would be ok, if you store it laying down.

my brush isnt exactly a cheap one, its from cjp but i have had it a little while maybe 9 months now
