hi everyone, how do you all feel about double ended acrylic brushes? how do you store them? how do you clean them?
Never seen any
i just worry that because you obviously use monomer on both ends one end will br upside down and im worried it will ruin the brush
im not going to make it up?????? kirsty meakins sells them.
but thats why im thinking maybe you have to store them a different way possibly flat? but im not 100% sure
yes exactly, i store mine in a jar and make sure i only get brushes with lids, but like you say if you store a double ended one up right then the monomer is going to down in the brush and cause the yucky yellow, saying that ive got a brush and recently its started to go yellow but i dont understand why as i always store it bristles down
Thank you, so yeah would have to store them laying down, I'm so used to putting them in a jar of probably forgetI store most of my brushes in metal pencil cases (as they are far cheaper and prettier than some specialised brush cases), these are really easy to then stack, or store in drawers or on my table and they don't roll around.
Some brushes, like the CND L&P brushes are longer though, and don't come with lids, I've grown to quite dislike them purely because I can't store them easily.
I'm sure a double ended brush would be ok, if you store it laying down.
Monomer can still travel up the brush, the glue starts to breakdown whuch csn cause yellowing. Really good quality brushes tend to be bound rather than glued so less likely to yellow
