Hiya,

Just wondered if there were any experts on dried flowers out there. I did a full set french L&P and she wanted dried flowers on her thumbs, as she'd seen mine and thought they were quite good. This was 3 wks ago, I was doing her maintenence the other day and both of her flowers were brown. It was blue at first. She told me this went brown within a few days. I store my flowers flat in a paper bag with tissue paper on either side of bag. The flowers on myself lasted ages, I had them on for 4 wks until I took off the whole set to try something different. Any ideas as to why this went a manky colour and so quick. Do the dried flowers have a lifespan before you have to chuck em?

Thanks in advance

hello,
my flowers go under a thin layer of acrylic on a finished nail, if they were fine on your own nails i cant understand why they went brown on your client did you apply them in the same way ?

there are so many products out there did you just apply them onto a base then use a top coat ?

the flowers are fine as long as they are`nt handled too much and they are kept in a cool dry dark place.

i have flowers on my toes and they have been there now for 4 weeks and still look as good as when i put them on.

hi,

They were used under an acrylic overlay, I cant understand either, they are kept in a dry cool place and away from the sun. I applied them in the same way my own were, baffled!!!!!

different adhesive perhaps ?
was it completly flat against the nail, so no air was trapped ?

i cant think of anything else, it has`nt happened to mine.
YET !
mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm the grey matter is ticking over.

would your mix have been a little wet maybe with that client ?

This happened to mine also!

But I had pressed them myself and so maybe I hadn't let them dry out properly! One of them is still lovely and purple though, just a shame about the rest!

Hmmm! Cant understand why yours were ok and hers went brown ... were they the very same flower?
Ive had a couple fade when Ive worn them for extensive periods.
Check the pics below ...
First is my nail at a few days old ... second is the same nail nearly a month on.
It has faded somewhat but despite the glare of the sun on the pic (sorry I know its a bit crap) you can see there hasnt been much change.
Also as suggested by Dawn .. be careful you dont have your mix too wet cos I think that can cause probs.
