Hi guys!
I am about to embark on a brand new buisness venture to start my own nail salon. I currently have no qualifications in beauty or nails so I want to complete a professional course.
From research I have found most people suggest it is important to do a course based on the product you plan to use.
I have narrowed it down to looking at a a complete course offered by essential nails or a mani and pedi course followed by a gel nails course with OPI
It appears OPI is a highly recommended product but essential nails also looks like a good package but mixed reviews on products they use?
Does anyone have experience with either and have any advice or recommendations for me?
I want to start out on the right foot and feel this is a really important decision????
Thanks in advance

If you've no experience or qualifications in beauty or nails I highly recommend going straight for hands on in person training- so in this case OPI. Their manicure course is VERY competitively priced; I'm wanting to do their course myself. I did their OPI gelcolour course and really enjoyed it and learnt enough. I've never done an online Nails course but you're aiming very high, so if you can why not make sure you're offering yourself the best start you can. You'll come away not only with a qualification but with a tutor and a support network to ask questions and grow. x

No contest - OPI.

Lots of Geeks started off with an online course which is fine, BUT, for anyone wanting to build a proper business rather than play at Nails, you have to invest in yourself inc. training and you would still need to do training in the brand you want to use.

Same here Jess it's a kind field what to choose. I have just looked at ink London but they don't have a course

OPI training is brilliant and the GelColor is great to use. I did my gel polish training with them and even though it was only a one day course, it was really in depth.

I started with EN 13 years ago which was enough to whet my appetite but not sufficient to allow me to start a business - I did lots more training before I felt proficient. Hands on is definitely the way to go especially if you've no previous experience
