Hi eyelash pros,
Please can you advise on the picture shown. My lovely neighbour had her lashes applied with me 2 weeks ago and 3 days ago had to remove her set as this happened to her left eye. She has reassured me she doesnt believe that this was due to her eyelash extensions as it was only in the one eye but I guess i'm looking for reassurance. (I'm a worrier) If it was a reaction would it have been in both eyes or could it have been something I maybe done incorrectly in one eye?
It hasnt put her off having them done again but I know i'll be nervous to pop them on her if she was to want them in future.
Thank you in advance xx

As her eye didn't react for a couple of weeks I would guess that it is more likely to be an infection picked up well after your application.
Has she got some medicated ointment now and has it cleared up?

Another patch test would be advisable though if she does decide to have the lashes put on again in the future.

Thank you foe your reply. Yes she's been taking ointment and it's almost cleared up. I will most definetly be doing a patch test if she wants them on again x

So perhaps the client used a eyeliner pencil or mascara which has ingredients she has built resistance up to? I doubt it be the extensions after this amount of time.
Or a mascara which was expired or contaminated. You will be surprised at how "manky" some of your clients make up is! Shocking in some instances ! Really shocking

I would say it looks like some form of infection, I'd wait til She's recovered and then patch test again before anything else is applied, don't worry too much as it was a while ago you did them x
