Hi
I'm looking to change career and would like to train in eyelash extensions. I've come across the Chic Beauty Academy that says it is an accredited training body in this field. I haven't been able to speak to anyone there at the moment presumably as it's the weekend. As I haven't any experience in the beauty industry, wondered if anyone has heard of or been trained by this company? Or can recommend a training provider in eyelash extensions that would allow me to get insurance to work on the public.

Thanks

You're right to check accreditation otherwise this could affect insurance. Also check the number of CPD points and whether they offer ongoing support and advice. No matter who you train with you won't leave the course an expert and you will need advice while you complete your case studies (and beyond). No 2 sets of lashes are exactly the same and it takes experience to deal with any problems that you may come across.
There are many good trainers but think about the advantage of going with a recognised brand that has high quality products and a good reputation. It may cost a little more to start but it will definitely pay off in the long run. Good training is all about getting you out there, confident, safe and ready to earn from your new skill, as quickly as possible. Chat to them and see if they meet your expectations, if in any doubt, walk away, poor training can cost you more than just time and money.
