Eyelash extensions - taping down the bottom lashes?

I think it was the brand of eyepatches I was using. I've never had any redness when finished a set and this just recently started happening when I changed brands of under eye patches. They were just extra goopy with all that gel and it would ooze out. Done with those puppies! Thanks so much for reply though! I went back to my old brand and no issues!
