HI all,

After my success with the leaflet drop ive had about a 2% return! I am thinking about doing a follow up leaflet basically advertising myself (i posted price leaflets before).

I am thinking about offering maybe a percentage off a manicure when booking a pedicure etc.

Have you geeks got any ideas for offers for me?

Also any of you done this before?

Thanks xxx

Hiya xx

I did a leaflet drop once....never again...too much like hard work. I did 200 leaflets and trailed the streets going from door to door posting them...felt like a flipping paper girl...so now i have it all done for me. Its our local rag..called Birstall Directory...I got a good size ad for 70 pounds....for 3 months. So thats one in every door in Birstall (which is a hell of a lot more than my poxy 200) once every month for 3 months.

It would have cost me alot more to print that many leaflets...and post them 3 x over.

Do you have a local rag you could use...its alot easier and the return is far greater...50% of my clients are from the Directory.

xxxxxx

i have just done an ad in our local paper, it's £30 for an a6 ad. it's my first time doing it. the main paper is £114 for same size for one ad!!!!! god thats expensive.

I get an excellent response from leaflets. It is my best form of advertising! I don't like doing it but people hang on to your leaflet for ages and then you may get calls out of the blue when you aren't busy.

I take my little one with me for a walk and some company. It's also great exercise!!

I don't offer promotions as they never worked when I tried before. Just a plain and simple price list seems to work well.

Hope this helps and good luck with the fliers!!
