I think overall its a good video for instruction, yes there were a few things that weren't quite right but maybe a few of these were put in purposely to show, i.e. overspray, not spraying on bed roll.
The hose shouldn't really be used to dry off as clients shouldn't need to be dried off untless you are overspraying and i couldn't understand why she detatched the hose from the gun to dry anyway.
We all have different methods, I know I don't stick to the method I was taught, I have changed it to suit myself.

Well Im sorry everyone, I thought it was terrible!!
So she doesnt spray toes or fingertips, NICE lovely dark tan and white toes and finger tips!! Now thats a good look isnt it!! Had she never heard of wiping over the nails ??? SLightly mortified she did not tie the clients hair back for her face being sprayed!! Cant imagine how the hands and wrists turn out as she stopped at the wrist rather than Y off, brown cuff marks LOVELY  But nothing, NOTHING prepared me for the old "spray the client with the air hose!! GOOD LORD!!!!!
Oh another small point, rather than starting on the back so you can wipe away any mess, erm how about testing your gun ON A PIECE OF COUCH ROLL!! Before you spray your client!! Starting at the back is a good idea but not so it allows you to make a mistake and wipe it away !! Its a good idea to start at the back cos that way your client will relax and to all the unknown sensations while scantily clad with there back to you, so by the time they turn round they will feel much more at ease and have settled into the spray tan experience.

I cant believe people think this is useful!!!

good, glad someone else thinks it's cr8P and not just me!! :green:

Lol well not one for mincing my words and ***** footing around!!!

lmao !! i thought she might look a bit  the next day !! , haha

This is not usual at all and if trained correctly you should never need to dry your client with air from your hose,
if she was deliberately doing it slow to show the routine then she should have adjusted her gun accordingly hth
i have watched the video now,
i would like to see how the girls tan turned out the day after as she had no solution applied to her ears or side of neck below the ears, and none applied to sides of feet or back of ankles, these areas should have been misted very lightly to blend in with the rest of the body lol
i couldn't agree with you more, i also noticed that she didn't spray the ears feet or the back of the ankles.

I looked at the video and it seemed quite good and I liked the method used when the tan was dabbed off with a towel because this gives an even tan and doesn't leave stains on the clients clothes. Good :) well researched.

If it was sprayed on a lot drier then she wouldnt need to dab it off with a towel, I think it is unprofessional to have to dab off excess solution - don't see how this can give an even tan either? surely the towel dabbing would leave marks?

sherrie i think the towel dabbing thing was done on purpose, to show how it can go wrong and how to dab it off!!!

im like miss marple lmao!!

as long as the tan that has gone wrong, is dabbed off using towel, couch roll whatever, and then resprayed, the tan will turn out fine, it may not look great to the eye, but after the guide is washed off then the tan will be fine, as long as the liquid/dha has been sprayed onto the dabbed off area all will be well!!!

Hi Nikki, Yes I realise that it was done on purpose, I was responding to the post from Bebeautiful where she said she liked the dabbing method because it leaves the tan nice and even and doesnt stain the clients clothes..

Maybe it would have been more educational if they had shown the correct way to do it AND what to do if it goes wrong? I dont think advising to start off spraying on the clients back so that they cant see your mistakes is a good way to train, better to teach spraying on a couch roll to get the spray right and then to start spraying on the client, BUT if you do accidentally overspray then you can dab with a towel/couch roll etc and it wont be the end of the world......... in my opinion! :green:

opps sorry sherrie lol!!
i should read posts properly and not skim them
sorry mate x
