Hi,
I did have medium brown to light caramel ombre (the bottom has bleach in) but now I've dyed my hair red from the XXL brand (I can't remember what its called but it was a semi) and then put a permanent colour over the top a week later. The bottom of my hair has now faded to a pink/brown colour (like a dirty pink/brown) due to the bleach already in it, so now I really hate it.

Can anyone suggest anything I can do to get it back to how it was?
I have researched doing a bleach bath and stripping it but I don't want to ruin my hair even more.

The only way you can do anything is by going to a salon. It will be a colour correction. So it's going to be pricey.

I can't guarantee anyone will want to touch your hair as XXL is one of the most horrendous products to lift out.

Find somewhere who does olaplex and does strand and incompatibility tests. But expect a hefty bill at the end!

Thank you. Do you think I should just leave it to fade/grow out and then just lighten the bottom so it's a red to blonde ombre cause I don't want to damage my hair even more but I can't leave the colour at the bottom how it is cause it looks so gross)

If money is an issue, you could try a hairdressing training college and book in for a colour correction there. They will be supervised and you usually only pay a fraction of the full salon cost for a colour correction.

The problem with box colours is that they are a 'one size fits all' solution, which of course, it can't.

Thank you. As the beach from before is lightening the bottom of my hair, do you think instead of having a colour correction just bleach the bottom again so its red to blonde ombre?

Many thanks.

Why not visit the salon and ask for a colour consultation? Most salons won't charge for this, but check beforehand.

They can look at your natural skin colour, feel your hair to see how damaged it is and work out what options you have. You don't have to commit to anything but you can go away and have a think about what works for you. Ask questions about maintenance and fading.

Unfortunately, its impossible to give such detailed advice online.
