Hi,
I've recently started doing gel at my place of work and I have so many clients saying I need to take a break how often should I have a break etc and I just want to confirm whether you need a break or not ?? I'd assume that as long as he gels are applied and removed correctly no break is needed ? The nails aren't suffocated under the gels are they?
Sorry if this sound like a stupid question [emoji4][emoji4]

Hey Hun yeah this is an common old wives tail/mis- conception as people thing their nails need to breathe. Nails get all the nutrients from the blood supply so having gel or polish on all the time doesn't effect them, providing they are being removed properly of course with no damage xxx

I've posted his meme to my Facebook page and tried to educate people properly [emoji4]

Basically when people say this it is because they do not understand the anatomy of the nails etc, so it is our job to educate them!

You have to be diplomatic in how you put it to clients though, I had one lady who replied with....'you're obviously going to say this because you don't want to lose customers' [emoji85]

Love that meme!!!! Yeah very true but we are the professionals and we know best even if our clients believe otherwise [emoji23][emoji23] thank you both !!! D

Do you drown when you wash your hands? No? Well that proves they ain't breathing.

Maybe we need to book clients & take full payment for their January appointment in October? Knock £5 off or throw in a nail oil pinkie as an incentive?. Non-refundable of course.

I do wonder if it's lack of money after Christmas.
