I am a nail tech for over 14 years. I recently started in a new salon and I am experiencing problems with my CND gel full sets. I specialise in Acrylic but I do gel as well. Unfortunately some gel customers did come back complaining their nails did not last. My acrylic customers get up to 5 weeks out of a set before refills. I don't know what I am doing wrong. I asked all the questions I could to troubleshoot, but all I get is "they just came off". A customer wrote a really nasty report to my boss about me and said I should not be allowed to work on customers I am really distended and desperate to fix the problem. Any advice appreciated. Thank you.

Can you list your steps from start to finish?

Having a set on for 5 weeks is not something that should be encouraged. The nails should be rebalanced after 2 weeks max as they are prone to breakages and damage as the product slowly has less resilience.
Are you base coating the gel polishes? As you don't need to on acrylics but must on nails? Are you using cuticle away and then de activating it with soap and water solution as this step missed will cause lifting. Do you cap the edges well first?

Are you using your own kit, Or is it supplied by the salon, as you mention you have recently started in a new salon, together with you have problems with your gel. Is your prep correct? Are your products in date? Are your bulbs in your lamp ok?
