Hi everyone!
I'm a newbie to gel polish, I do it only on myself. As I used bonder under my gel polish, it didn't come off by soaking, so I filed off. The problem is that I overfiled my nails, and I have rings of fire (they don't hurt that much, just a bit), and it is just overall thin and sensitive. I also want to try hard gel, so that I don't have to completely remove the nails, just do fills. What do you recommend, should I wait for my nails to completely grow out or can I can go in with the hard gel right away?

I wouldn't, especially as they are already thin and sensitive it might not necessarily help the situation. X

Thank you very much xx I will just wait then :)

I'd do as moonails said. Wait for them to grow out. You can think of your current nail plate as a weak foundation that flexes when you try and build your hypothetical house (hard gel). The product will lifton a weak nail plate. Build on a sound foundation. Also, you will feel the heat more from the curing process if your nail plates are thinned.

I remember I had a client assessed around April 2017 and had to advise her against extensions as her nails were filed too thinly from a nail salon in Marbella.

You say your new to gel polish, but are you qualified in hard gel? Even if your just doing it on yourself it's not advised if your not qualified.

You could go for an ibx treatment to help them along. I also love Nailtiques for assisting weak nails to get stronger while they grow out. It paints on and removes like regular polish so won't do any further damage. Ibx wonty do any further damage either and will add some strength. Both good options to get your nails back in shape.
