Please invest in some training and education, as experimenting with chemicals when untrained can do more harm than good.

You may think it's easy to apply l&p or gel, but it takes a lot of time, effort, determination and investment to actually master the craft.

Yes exactly what Noodle said make sure you invest in a good course that will teach you, and at that teach you properly! Don't choose wee cheap job course as it certainly wont be worth it and you will be feeling so deflated about it after.

Personally i found it, and have friends who found it a lot easier to go from gel to l&p but i am sure there are others who found it easier to do it the other way round.

Either way invest in a good, worth while course, and again as Noodle said it will come down to time, effort, determination, and practice, practice, practice!

Book yourself on an acrylic course, you won't regret it :)

Lots of people train in both and then end up working with the medium they prefer.

I've been doing gel since I qualified because I find it more workable and it doesn't smell. I would like to get my acrylic out for a practice though.

Like everyone here has said, it is worth training even if it is just for the purpose of doing your own nails. I know a few people who have done that :)

Gel is only a pre-mixed acrylic with uv initiators added so don't kid yourself it's very different [emoji5]️ and just because there's no smell, doesn't mean there are no fumes so you should still work in a ventilated room and adopt good working practices.

It's great you enjoy doing your own nails, however it only looks easy because that's the sign of a professional [emoji6]. Book yourself on a course and find out how to get the best from your products. You'll soon be completely hooked (if you're not already lol) x
