I've just started offering gel polish and want to offer with a manicure or pedicure too but in what order would be better to do....polish first then everything after? If the gel polish is done last the cuticle work and soaking is kind of pointless when you have to buff the natural nail.

Gel polish then Mani or pedi.

With a manicure I do filing and the gel polish first but don't use any product (just push cuticles back dry) otherwise the polish can shrink and is a nightmare to get even! Then complete the rest of the manicure like hand scrub and massage. For a pedicure I usually soak the feet first, foot rasp and exfoliate but try not to go near the nails, and then do filing/cuticles again dry push back, apply gel and then massage at the end. But I think everyone does is slightly different! X

For myself, I do dry cuticle pushing first, follow by nail prep and gel polish application.

Foot massage and scrub usually come after :)

When I'm doing a shellac mani or pedi I never soak! rinse.... yes, soak ....never! It creates an unstable base for applying your polish. You don't necessarily have to do dry cuticle work either, as long as you deactivate your cuticle remover that's fine. I've always done it this way & never had a problem! Sometimes dry prep isn't enough with some clients!!

As above - dry cuticle work & file - polish - then foot soak, scrub, mask & massage - never had a problem x
